Looking for a staycation or an overnight escape from the city? When an afternoon check-in is followed by an early departure the next morning, an overnight stay can feel rushed and leave you wanting more. The Jonah’s Stay & Play experience is designed to feel like more than just a one night stay, encouraging you to make the most of your time at our Northern Beaches luxury hideaway.
Wake up and make the journey to Whale Beach by car in about 50 minutes from Sydney CBD or just 20 minutes by Seaplane from Rose Bay. Travelling by seaplane offers a unique opportunity to see jaw dropping views of Sydney harbour and the Northern Beaches from the air. Arrive at around 10am to be greeted by one of our friendly Jonah’s staff members who will take your luggage. Here is where the holiday begins.
You will then be transferred in our private vehicle to your Beneteau Oceanis yacht. Meet our partners at Taylor Made Escapes who will introduce you to the magnificent Pittwater surroundings. Cruise by motor or take up the sails to explore the bay at your leisure. During the warmer months it’s possible to swim from the deck or make a pit stop at one of the many secluded beaches along the way. For those with a keen eye, the winter months bring whales close to shore as they migrate further North. As lunch time comes around, recline on deck or pull up to a spot on the beach and open up your picnic hamper. Hand packed by our Jonah’s chef, we invite you to enjoy tasty wraps, cheese, crackers, fresh fruit and more, paired with a bottle of Champagne Bollinger. The cruise can be as adventurous or as relaxing as you desire. With Taylor Made Escapes, the experience is yours to create.
Disembark the yacht to be transferred up to Jonah’s at our clifftop location overlooking Whale Beach. Here you can check in and spend the afternoon relaxing in your Ocean Retreat room with your own private balcony or spend some time soaking in the panoramic views from our expansive terrace. All eleven of our Ocean Retreat rooms have recently been completely refurbished by interior design duo Baxter & Thrum, featuring custom made furniture, state of the art technology, rain showers, and luxury king sized World Series beds by A.H. Beard.
The day is not yet over. A Jonah’s experience would not be complete without indulging in a three course a la carte dinner in our hatted restaurant. Talented Executive Chef Matteo Zamboni has created a menu inspired by his Italian background that showcases the finest Australian seafood and produce. Our knowledgeable Head Sommelier Niels Sluiman can also advise you on wine pairings from our multi award-winning wine list.
Delight in a blissful nights rest before awaking to the sound of crashing waves below. A full à la carte breakfast with tea, coffee and juice can be enjoyed in the restaurant or in the comfort of your room before checking out.
