Boasting an impressive resume, Peter began his culinary career with Starwood Hotels, before being approached by Luke Mangan to join his team at Bistro Lulu. He then worked with Marc Philpott at Gunners Barrack before joining the Jonah’s team in 2009 as Chef de Cuisine.

Peter has spent time in some of Europe’s finest kitchens including Stages with Michel Roux Jnr (2* Michelin) at Le Gavroche in London, Jean Luc Rocha (2* Michelin) at Cordeillan Bages in France, Jacques Marcon (3* Michelin) at Restaurant Regis et Jacques marcon.

Bringing an abundance of passion and expertise to the business of food & wine, German born Christian Baeppler has enjoyed an impressive career spanning over a decade. Having been formally trained in London, France and Austria, Baeppler has held positions at a number of exceptional international hotels, including The Dorchester in London, Hotel Schloss Fuschl in Austria and The Observatory Hotel in Sydney.

Christian’s refined palate, commitment to perfection and notable linguistic skills – he is fluent in English, German and French – have been instrumental in the development of his meticulous approach and boundless knowledge.

Christian’s superior approach to his craft brings an exquisite wine offering to Jonah’s including over 1500 wines on the current list that compliments the exclusive and premium Relais & Chateaux experience that guests to the iconic Whale Beach destination have come to expect.
