Restaurant Manager

Head Sommelier

Jonah’s is currently seeking candidates for the position of Head Sommelier. The successful person will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role managing the wine list for a high end restaurant/bar/resort or hotel and be expertly trained, engaging, friendly and professional. The position will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for the ongoing development of Jonah’s wine list, all aspects of managing stock, customer engagement, managing supplier relationships and other responsibilities. Salary range Head Sommelier $75,000 – $85,000.

Waitstaff

We are currently looking for waiters and waitresses with a good knowledge of food and wine. Fine dining experience is a bonus, but training will be provided for the right candidate. If you are eager to learn and looking for a career in hospitality we would love to hear from you. The most important asset you can bring to us is your commitment to service, your enthusiasm and willingness to learn, and a sincere and caring nature. Salary range Waitstaff $60,000 – $70,000.

Assistant Restaurant Manager / Sommelier

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Restaurant Manager / Sommelier. This extremely hands-on position is responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager and Head Sommelier in the day-to-day, smooth and efficient management of the award winning Jonah’s Restaurant including associated staff and facilities to ensure maximum revenues and standards are achieved whilst offering outstanding customer service and exceeding the customer’s expectations. Salary range Waitstaff $70,000 – $75,000.

Demi Chef & Chef de Partie

We are currently recruiting for a Demi Chef & Chef de Partie. You must be a team player who is highly motivated, dedicated and have demonstrated experience in the role you are applying for. Controlling a section of the kitchen, you will be responsible for: assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with all aspects of kitchen operations, preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of a la carte dishes to the highest standard, developing and enforcing service, presentation and operational standards, ensuring consistency and quality at all times, assisting in menu planning, development and costing, ordering stock, kitchen supplies and equipment and control all stock levels where required, assisting with ongoing staff training and development, receiving, signing and accounting for supplies and deliveries. Pastry Chef / Pastry Cook

We are currently recruiting for a Pastry Chef & Pastry Cook. You must be a team player who is highly motivated, dedicated and have demonstrated experience in the role you are applying for. You will be responsible for: assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with all aspects of kitchen operations, preparing and baking breads, preparing and plating desserts in accordance with the existing menu, general pastry work, decorating cakes and baked goods according to requirements, chocolate work, operating baking equipment, assisting in the development of menu ideas, inspect the quality of the ingredients and measure them for specific recipes, cleaning equipment and utensils and maintaining your section in a clean and tidy order. Sous Chef

Cook / Commis Chef

We are currently recruiting for a Cook & Commis Chef. You must be a team player who is highly motivated, dedicated and have demonstrated experience in the role you are applying for. You will be responsible for: assisting the Chefs and Kitchen team, responsibilities will include: preparing and cooking meals, accepting deliveries, using and handling equipment correctly, applying effective stock rotation for all food items, assist with controlling food costs by controlling portion size and minimising spoilage and wastage, ensuring correct portioning and following standardised recipes, maintaining a high level of cleanliness, operating kitchen equipment and cleaning equipment and utensils. Kitchen Attendants
